VCAC Awana Clubs provide a Christ-centred program where learning about God\u2019s Word is fun! We divide clubbers into 3 age groups: Cubbies (Preschool), Sparks (K-2), and T&T (3-6). Each group follows a curriculum that is specifically tailored to them with accompanying handbooks (sold separately).<\/p>\n

We begin the year with our Kick Off Night in September. Each Awana session consists of Large Group Teaching, Small Group Discussion, and Games. These activities promote understanding of the Scripture, building connections with others, sportsmanship, leadership, and spirit. Through the course of the year, they have the opportunity to achieve progress rewards and book completion awards. These book awards are given at Awana Awards in June, at the conclusion of the year.<\/p>\n

Kids are welcome to register and join at any time during the year. We recommend that they join us at the start of the year to give them the most time to complete their handbooks. We charge $25 per child for one nontransferable year of sessions. Awana International is a separate organization that partners with churches around the world to provide programs that foster biblical discipleship and leadership for children and their club leaders, respectively. One of these programs is Awana Clubs. VCAC Knight Street Church is a registered partner of Awana International Canada, which provides VCAC with curriculum resources, Awana-related materials and support from their Field Staff.
